Gastronomic Berrichonne cuisine, prepared by starred chefs, in a historic and romantic inn in Issoudun.
This nineteenth century hostel has been visited by the famous novelist Balzac. The hostel, one of the most brilliant tables in the department (a Michelin star), owes its name to Mrs. Cognet, known as the Cognet, a fine cook that Balzac immortalized in the Slider. The romantic and romantic decor will charm you with its skated furniture. The menu of gastronomic berrichonnes - based on lentils, goat, eels, lumas, carps, carp chicken - is developed by the starry chefs Jean-Jacques Daumy and Alain Nonnet. Anxious to preserve the Berrichon culinary heritage, they make you composed of creative plates with accents of the land. But their kitchen goes beyond the boundaries of Berry and enchants us with the cannellonis of oysters of Marennes-Oléron coulis of cresson and fresh ginger, the nuts of Saint-Jacques with sucrine of Berry and lichis or the paved barrel with baskets and candies confit. Between Balzacian souvenirs and walks in the old Issoudun, let yourself be enchanted by the charm of this house!
