AUBERGE A L’ESCARGOT
Chef Florent Legroux's kitchen in a restaurant in La Châtre.
This establishment was called the Auberge de la Tête Noire, a restaurant where George Sand's parents came to eat. Inside, the atmosphere is muffled, the powdered pink of the walls and beams plays the card of discretion. The traditional stoneware presentation plates from Berry are made by a potter from Verneuil-sur-Igneraie. A la carte, the chef Florent Legroux, Master Restorer, creates subtle agreements with local products. Special mention to the crispy lumas and pan-fried scallops and langoustines with risotto.
