NOTRE DAME STATUE
This statue, listed as a Monument Historique, was part of a town gate.
The statue of the Virgin Mary was part of a 15th-century town gate, and has lived through its evolution. When this fortification was destroyed in 1788, the statue, which was a stopover for many pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela, was nevertheless preserved and placed on the façade of the nearest inn, which has since taken the name "Notre-Dame". It has been a listed monument since January 1925. On a high column, it is sheltered from the elements by an elegant slate canopy, built in the 18th century.
