Historical tour of the Châtre
The writer George Sand (1804-1876) was born a few steps from the city of La Châtre. The city made it a real egg. In the development of its historical and cultural heritage, the writer is truly honored. A historic route allows you to walk around the city in 21 stages scattered across the city center. Enameled plates provide information on the various sites. This is the history of the city, both in the Middle Ages and in the era of George Sand. This free course takes about two hours. Sightseeing tours of the tourist office are inspired by this, while at the same time focusing on mills, medieval times or romantic times.
