ST. CYRAN'S CHURCH
Go there and contact
This church has all the purity and simplicity of Romanesque churches.
A former possession of the Abbey of Déols, until 1269 it housed the relics of the monk Saint Cyran, founder of the Brenne abbeys. Close to Château Naillac, it overlooks the Creuse River. It has all the purity and simplicity of a Romanesque church: a rectangular nave, a straight choir, a square bell tower and a tiled roof. The interior is light and airy, and its elevation is striking. On the west wall is a painting illustrating the Dit des trois morts et des trois vifs. This theme can also be found at Prissac and Chavin in the Indre department.
