ST. PETER'S ABBEY CHURCH
Go there and contact
In the center of the village stands the imposing abbatial church restored, the last witness of the great abbey founded here by Saint Cyran in the first half of the century. From this great monument, there is now only one span of the nef, transept and bedside to an abside and four absidioles. The interior is decorated with frescoes representing Christ in the Majesty repainted in the fifteenth century. A funeral liter - broad black band painted on the walls - the arms of a former abbot of Méobecq dates back to 1467. On the other side of the road, in the north of the church, there are other buildings in the abbey that are being restored.
