FESTIVAL FORGES ET MÉTALLURGIE
The association 3 F-3 M (Fire - Iron - Forges - Ores - Minerals - Metals) prepares each year with passion, in partnership with the CPIE (Centre Permanent d'Initiatives pour l'Environnement) Périgord-Limousin, a highlight that recalls the history of the forges and foundries of the Haut-Périgord. The program includes a series of events, with the top and bottom furnaces lit as a kick-off: demonstration of the work of the forge with the blacksmiths, antique furnaces and an approach to bronze, craft exhibitions, a demonstration by a carver and ironworker, a visit to the Iron and Forges area... Conferences and workshops for children complete the event, without forgetting the blacksmiths' meal. See you in 2021.
