The Festival of the Stars (the name of the borders on the Roman tracks) takes place every summer, early August, on the ancient site of Argentomagus. Its aim is to rediscover the living arts of antiquity. Troops in antique costumes and masks play pieces of Greek and Roman authors in the theater of Argentomagus. We saw Iphigénie or Amphytrion, for example. The 2017 program: Prometheus and Lysistrata of Aristophane, for the part antiquity at the theater of Argentomagus and Polyphonies for the Renaissance part with concert in Pouligny-Notre-Dame and Saint-Marcel. Greek and Latin song courses are also organized. The festival also turns to the Middle Ages and Renaissance by organizing concerts at other historic sites (the Ars Castle, the chapel of the Collège de Saint-Gaultier… An original and quality initiative. A Roman banquet also celebrates ancient customs.
