WOODEN HOUSE, KNOWN AS THE HOUSE OF ST. JAMES
A stone's throw from the college, this beautiful wooden house dates from the sixteenth century. There are the caves of France, Brittany and the Dauphiné. She served as a hospice for pilgrims in Santiago. The numerous sculptures of angels and grotesque are admired on its facade. The best known character is the armed lepreux of a stick, whose skin is detached by scales. He probably evokes the miracle of Saint Martin who would have healed her from leprosy a notable city. This character could also represent a wild man, frequent in the iconography of the Middle Ages.
