CHERRY NATURE RESERVE
Réserve naturelle de Chérine, a site of meadows, ponds, woods, moors and thickets, home to protected fauna.
The Cherine Nature Reserve celebrated its 30 year anniversary in 2015. These are 370 protected hectares of meadows, ponds, wood, lanterns and thickets where wildlife itself is protected. The reserve is subject to a management plan to control the species. Throughout the year, the reserve conducts scientific studies by observing, identifying plants, insects, reptiles, amphibians and mammals present in this territory. Visitors can also indulge in exciting observation with 5 free access observatories. The question is: The Cissage, La Sous and Purais ponds are now accessible to persons with reduced mobility and visually impaired. Tactile and Braille panels are installed outside and within the observatories. Guided tours take place from April to September. Do not hesitate to visit the website of the reserve which puts online the calendar of nature animations of the Regional Natural Park of Brenne.
