SARZAY CASTLE
Sarzay Castle, which George Sand calls Blanchemont Castle in the Angibault Meunier, is a long-squared logis dungeon, a fairly common architectural form in the xive and xve centuries. It was the property of the family of Barbançois until 1720 and consisted of 38 towers and 3 lift bridges on deep moves. Upon acquisition by its current owner in 1982, there were only two towers, one of which housed the seigneurial chapel. Richard Hurbain rebuilt three, restored the moss, chapel and halle, which earned him enormous problems with the Monuments of France and the price of the American committee of the historical remains. You have to go to the last two floors of the castle, the beautiful fireplace and the frame. Up there, we understand Richard Hurban's heartbeat for this castle.
