TALLEYRAND'S TOMB
Tomb on the path marked out in the ground of the sidewalks with large golden nails inlaid along the way to the chapel.
The remains of the prince of Talleyrand, Charles-Maurice de Talleyrand-Périgord, had been resting since his burial in Valençay on September 5, 1838 in the family crypt. Then they went back to the Notre Dame chapel. From the shadow to the light! From the castle's grilles, the path is marked in the pavement floor with large golden nails "Tomb of Talleyrand" with the effigy of the prince. These nails are regularly incrusted throughout the course leading to the chapel.
