VALENÇAY STATION
If you do not arrive by train, do a tour by the train station to admire this building, classified at Historic Monuments since 1993, or 90 years after its construction. Built at the beginning of the twentieth century, the railway station features a neo-Renaissance architectural style, which is not without reference to the castle. The building is built in such a way as to be built in stone like many buildings in the Loire Valley. This soft stone stone, with its properties quickly imposed to realize the decorative purposes of the Renaissance architecture. The double porch is surrounded by two beautiful pilasters that rise to the roof and end with spheres. The four-fold roof is covered with slate and highlighted by two beautiful spurs. Currently, passenger traffic is maintained with the tourist line during the summer and the transport of the college, from Romorantin-Lanthenay to Luçay-le-Mâle via Valençay, throughout the school year.
