The castle has a park with French and English gardens, a large Napoleon labyrinth and a children's castle.
The Château de Valençay is one of the finest monuments in the Indre region. While the château itself is splendid, so too are its French and English gardens, which are a pleasure to stroll through.
In addition to all this, there's plenty going on around the château, including balls, re-enactments and exhibitions throughout the year. The emphasis, for example, is on Talleyrand's epicurean soul, with gastronomy, theater, music and games from the 1st Empire period.
