Museum presenting the results of the excavations carried out in Abily and workshops to discover the life of prehistoric men.
South Touraine is full of major archaeological sites. From 1981 to 1991, the excavations followed one another without interruption in Abilly. In 1992, the museum was opened and has since presented the results of this research and the techniques used. Buildings have been reconstructed, such as the workshop-habitat dating from the Neolithic period. Other eras are presented: the Palaeolithic, the Bronze Age... Workshops also allow visitors to discover the daily life of prehistoric man. A visit not to be missed after that of the Museum of Prehistory of Grand-Pressigny!
