Castle having kept its character of the time of François Ier, having one of the sumptuous dovecotes of Touraine, visit of the cellars.
Listed as a historic monument since 1947, Château de Nitray was built in the 16th century on a 13th-century estate on the left bank of the Cher river. Since its construction, 17 families have succeeded one another in this building of character built of tuffeau, the famous Touraine stone. The architectural ensemble is complemented by an English-style park and a 10-hectare vineyard certified organic. At the end of the tour, you can watch a 1937 film on cooperage and discover the wines produced on the estate.
