Taken over in 2017 by Christophe, this charming restaurant located in a 15th century house is to be tested as soon as possible. In his open kitchen, the chef offers a variety of traditional dishes based on fresh produce for all tastes. The welcome is friendly, and the place is very pleasant (tufa stones, fireplace, beams and floor tiles) to spend a good time before discovering the fabulous castle of Azay-le-Rideau. Enjoy a friendly room on the first floor and a beautiful terrace on sunny days. A little haven of peace as we love them!

Proximité avec le château
Sa proximité avec le château est un atout précieux. La cuisine est bonne et les prix pratiqués corrects. Le midi où nous nous sommes arrêtés, il y avait un peu de monde.

Le restaurant La Crédence est situé à deux pas du Château d'Azay le Rideau. La carte est simple, les plats sont bons, jolis et frais. Le prix est raisonnable avec environ 20€ pour un menu plat/dessert. La salle n'est pas très grande, donc il vaut mieux réserver ou ne pas arriver trop tard. Le service est agréable et la décoration également.

we liked the wine, pleasant and served the right temperature.
staff is friendly and the atmosphere of the room is relaxing.
my friend loved the daily special (guinea fowl)
I have found the cuisine too sweet.
at lunchtime the service is a little slow, to avoid if you are in a hurry.
