Huge campsite in a haven of peace, in Azay-le-Rideau, wooded and equipped, ideal for cyclists.

What a pleasure to stay in the historic village of Azay-le-Rideau! This stopover is all the more pleasant as the municipal campsite offers nomadic holidaymakers a real haven of peace. Located on the banks of the Indre river, the campsite is huge, very wooded and fully equipped (sanitary facilities, service area for motorhomes, table tennis, swimming pool and free access to tennis). From here, you are 500 m from the town centre and 3 minutes walk from the castle. Notice to cyclists who take the Loire à Vélo route, but also to all those who love Touraine and camping!

Les locaux souffrent de vétusté et mériteraient une rénovation tant pour l'accueil que les sanitaires. Un bloc sanitaire fermé complètement, la douche handicapé qui n'a même plus son siège de douche, le prix de l'électricité excessif pour un frigo et une lampe, en vacances on ne cuisine quasiment pas on ne se chauffe pas. La piscine est fermée en juin donc aucune animation ni structure de loisir. Il n'y a pas que la visite du chateau qui compte, ça ne doit pas être un camping dortoir. Pourtant le peu de personnel est accueillant et serviable. Onlycamp devrait changer sa politique commerciale et accorder un certain intérêt à sa clientèle.

Camping vaste et reposant proche du village et du château, mériterait un peu d'entretien au niveau des pelouses, l'herbe haute et humide du matin est un peu désagréable !!!
