Quiet and secure hotel with a beautiful flowered patio in Azay-le-Rideau ideal for a stopover
This hotel is ideally located in a semi-pedestrian street in the old town. Make a stop in this tourangelle mansion built between the 17th and 19th centuries. Its history is fascinating! Formerly an inn, it was transformed into a palm game room and then into a Napoleonic school. Peace and quiet is assured in this very well equipped property, with all the necessary comfort. The owners will be able to give you the right addresses and sites to visit absolutely. Don't forget to take advantage of the beautiful flowered patio, it's worth the detour!

We booked a triple room but were happily placed in a quad unit that consisted of two rooms (could be separated by a block-out curtain) each with large windows and a spacious well-equipped bathroom. The towels provided were by far the best we found during our weeks travelling through France - what a treat!
We enjoyed having our fresh and tasty breakfast in their pretty courtyard and had many excellent sorbets from a shop down the lane. It is wise to take advantage of the hotel's offer to book for dinners, as the village fills up quickly over the weekend, and not all restaurants are open on Sunday evenings.
The hotel is situated some steps away from eateries serving delicious meals, charming shops, the historic chateau and ancient church in the village. We were especially impressed by the spirit of enterprise and co-operation that seem to drive businesses in Azay le Rideau to welcome visitors with verve and style.
