SANT'VENANT CHURCH
The first church, built around 480, has a magnificent central glass roof and a choir with three bells.
The first church, built around 480 by Bishop Saint Perpet, consisted only of a thatched nave. It was modified in the 12th, 13th and 15th centuries. In 1516, Jacques de Beaune, Lord of Ballan, had this church enlarged and modified (raising the vault and building the choir). The magnificent central glass roof was donated by Jacques de Beaune and his wife, Jeanne Ruzé in 1516. The choir houses three bells dating from 1647, 1872 and 1881.
For those who wish, masses are held in the church on Tuesday and Friday at 9am and Sunday at 10:30am.
