The only authentic testimony to Jacques de Beaune's buildings, the Grand Moulin de Ballan was built in 1520, and this historic monument still markets its flours and supplies many local bakers. Technical and commercial training courses are also offered to help merchants in their business. As a visitor, you can be welcomed in a group and by reservation. Come and discover the originality of its double wheel mechanism and contemplate a mill located on the left bank of the Cher river and in operation for more than five centuries!

Le Grand Moulin de Ballan est situé à proximité du cher, il est toujours en activité. Il est situé sur un chemin calme, utilisé par la loire à vélo. On retrouve à proximité sur la gauche une plaque explicative de l'histoire du grand moulin et sur la droite à quelques mètres un espace pique-nique prisé des cyclistes qui parcourent la loire à vélo.
