Visit the castle in three stages: the furnished castle, the Veneur Museum with stables and the park for a forest walk.
At one time a feudal fortress, at another a beautiful Renaissance residence, at another a private family castle, Montpoupon has stood the test of time, and its current owners continue to perpetuate its history. The visit is divided into three parts: the château, a self-guided tour with sound in a richly furnished château; the Musée du Veneur in the outbuildings, which immerses you in the daily life of horse enthusiasts, with its stables, period craft workshops and Carrés Hermès; and finally, the forest walk, a 30-minute tour of the château grounds.
