ROUVRAY CASTLE
Medieval castle having kept its main building with 3 fortified towers, equipped with a drawbridge, loopholes, a park of 3,5 ha.
This ancient fortress of the Middle Ages has kept its main building flanked by three fortified towers with a Renaissance gatehouse. Since 1530, the estate has always belonged to the Barte de Rouvray and Tristan family. The castle has been beautifully restored to make the private part of the property liveable. We find in the castle elements of protection against the enemy even if this one did not have for objective the defense: drawbridge and loopholes. Nice visit to make during the days of the inheritance, or the summer, to benefit from the superb park of 3,5 hectares!
