Castle with Renaissance gardens with Italian terraces, a troglodytic chapel and the tufa cellars.
Set against a 60-hectare park, Château de Valmer features superb Renaissance gardens whose Italian-style terraces follow the slope of the hillside, creating a unique panorama. Over eight levels and a difference in height of some thirty meters, the gardens feature balustrades, statues, columns, staircases and fountains, as well as a checkerboard of colors and flavors. Also worth seeing is a troglodytic chapel dating from 1524, housing an exceptional 15th-century altar. Vouvray wines are aged in the tufa stone cellars; 6 of the 29 hectares are located within the park.

Et que dire de la collection de menthes ou de la dégustation devant la boutique, en contemplant le spectacle...
