In addition to the elevator that now allows you to climb from the lower to the upper town, during the summer season Chinon offers a welcome electric shuttle that can be used free of charge. This service is much appreciated by residents and visitors alike. The electric shuttle connects the SNCF train station and the upper town, every 15 minutes, serving 4 stops: the Place Jeanne d'Arc, the statue of Rabelais, the old market and the royal fortress.
