You can sit on a terrace on the cobblestones of the rue Voltaire and the perpendicular alley that goes down to the Vienne river or in one of the rooms on the first floor of a historic brick house. The name of the restaurant comes from its façade which alternates brick and half-timbering. Traditional dishes of the region are served here, well presented and tasty. The service is really charming and attentive. The address is well known, so it is better to reserve your table, especially during the tourist season. The same house has a guest house on the second floor.

Le menu du jour était attractif : entrée, plat, dessert à 19 euros. Au menu : émietté de thon et crevettes, araignée de porc avec petite purée et carottes , tarte aux poires .
Le petit quart de Chinon s'imposait évidemment.
Nous avons été servis rapidement, la serveuse (peut-être aussi patronne) fait très bien son travail et est dynamique.
