Hotel with rooms with its own balcony overlooking the castle in the heart of the medieval district of old Chinon

Right in the center of town, on Chinon's main square, Best Western Hôtel de France occupies a charming 16th-century building. The premises combine comfort, warmth and tradition. Rooms are comfortable and some offer a view of the Royal Fortress. The breakfast room is pleasant, and the rooftop bar is incredible. Quality welcome and service, this is a great address!

Un hôtel tranquille, avec une terrasse privée dans un bâtiment de pierre ce qui lui donne son cachet. L’ensemble du personnel est vraiment accueillant, disponible, souriant. Excellemment bien placé en plein centre ville de Chinon, au pied de l'ascenseur qui mène au château. Petit déjeuner continental sous l'œil de Gargantua

Very disappointing. We had an extremely small, stuffy room on the top floor with a small bed (140 cm for 2 adults); the room was so small that we could not even put the suitcases on the floor. The air-conditioning was noisy but otherwise not working well. You could hear the snoring from the next room. I recommend this only for XS-size persons that have XXS-sized luggage and are heat-resistant and hard of hearing.
