A jewel in the medieval centre of Chinon run by Mr. and Mrs. Lacoste, erudite bibliophiles. First of all, on the architectural level: this bookstore occupies a beautiful house classified as a historical monument, one of the oldest wood-framed houses in Chinon, probably dating from the 14th and 15th centuries. It is also a jewel because of its collection of books and documents, with books with leather covers, illuminations and engravings... You will find thousands of works from all periods. The regional history is well represented.
