A museum featuring a collection of over 8,000 works of art and objects that bear witness to the city's history.

Touraine's finest museum. Housed in the site of the 1428 Estates General, it presents a collection of art and history, highlighted by annual temporary exhibitions. Two major pieces stand out: the "St. Mexme" cope, the largest 12th-century fabric preserved in Europe, and Eugène Delacroix's portrait of Rabelais. Temporary exhibitions, conferences, workshops and national events punctuate the seasons at Le Carroi.

A historic house that hosted the General states in 1428, located at the foot of the royal fortress and now transformed into a pleasant museum
