COLLEGIATE CHURCH OF SAINT-GEORGES
An important medieval collegiate church founded in 1039, a relic of a vanished castle, between Romanesque and Gothic styles.
This building was very important in medieval times. Founded in 1039 by Dame Nivès, the college was attached to the castle now destroyed. If the style remains novel, it nevertheless announces the Gothic style. The crypt has magnificent th century châpiteaux. From the top of the terraces, the panorama is magnificent. It is reported that in the crypt, there were relics of which the tooth of Saint Georges was taken by Protestants during the religious wars. The collegiate is today the only remaining church of the 4 that stood in the th century.
