CYFAC INTERNATIONAL
For more than 30 years, Cyfac has been a reference brand in the development of custom bicycle frames. It is present at the most important international competitions, such as the Olympic Games, the Tour de France or the World Championships. Since January 2013, Cyfac has been recognized as a Living Heritage Company for its unique expertise.
History. It was in 1982 that Francis Quillon, a former rider, opened a simple manufacturing workshop that quickly seduced the greatest two-wheeler stars such as Laurent Fignon, Thierry Marie, Charly Mottet and Richard Virenque. Its know-how combining artisanal methods and advanced technologies will very quickly conquer the international market. Indeed, its frames are designed to adapt to harsh conditions such as the winding slopes of the Italian coast and the gusts of wind in the Spanish plain. In addition, Cyfac was the first to master aluminium TIG welding, which he used in the manufacture of frames for Claudio Chiapucci and Marco Pantani. It is also the pioneer in the field of titanium frames, and it was by drawing inspiration from aerospace techniques that it first manufactured a custom-made 100% carbon frame: the T 800 H Fiber. To date, it is the only manufacturer to offer such a wide range of building materials
The pluses. Cyfac promotes the use of environmentally friendly products and water-based paints. It recycles many of its waste products through BS Environnement. In addition, since 2006 it has been developing a range of bicycle tourism bicycles and encouraging the practice of non-polluting travel
Employment. The company employs twelve people in its workshop in La Fuye. They handcraft 350 to 400 aluminum, steel or carbon frames, standard or custom and personalized, per year. The brand also uses local subcontractors to limit pollution related to transport.
