Outside this church, we discover a protected space in caquetoire and a baptismal tank of the Gallo-Roman period
If it is not open to the public, the church of the village of La Roche-Clermault, a historical monument, deserves your attention and your stop. You will discover a protected space outside, a baptismal font dating from the Gallo-Roman period. On the site of the ancient castellany belonging to the archbishopric of Tours, this church was built in the 11th or 12th century and underwent several alterations in the 13th century. The belfry floor of the gothic bell tower, which reaches 27 m from the ground, was rebuilt in the 15th century.
