This Sensitive Natural Area of the department is managed by the community of communes Chinon Vienne et Loire. Spread over 82 ha, it houses in its center the only regional nature reserve of India and Loire on 35 ha. It is managed by CCCVL and the Loire-Anjou-Touraine Regional Nature Park. Its classifications are linked to the richness in biodiversity of this remarkable wetland. Among the patrimonial species: the samole of Valérand, the water rail and the agrion de Mercure, a dragonfly. A pedestrian path of 1,4 km allows to walk in this marsh.
