On the banks of the Vienne, you'll find this restaurant-bistro, an isolated nugget in the beautiful village of Indre-et-Loire. You'll be greeted by the charming couple who run the place, she in the dining room, he in the kitchen, discreet but talented. The restaurant offers a short but effective menu. All in all, a fine and tasty cuisine, respecting the produce and the seasons, all in well-presented plates. Nice little terrace, grocery store and, to top it all off, reasonable prices! Découvrant à l'instant l'avis de ma chère compatriote, mon sang n'a fait qu'un tour. Je respecte son avis bien sûr mais elle ne m'en voudra pas je l'espère si j'écris ces quelques mots : J'ai beaucoup de mal à comprendre l'avis qu'elle a laissé ici. Vivant en France depuis 1989, et ayant passé un certain temps (certainement trop ?! - mais je ne regrette rien) important dans les restaurants, je ne peux que constater que l'Amuse Saveur présente un excellent rapport qualité-prix. Les menus sont régulièrement changés et sans aucune exception chaque fois les plats sont délicieux et le service est impeccable, à la fois professionnel et aimable. Depuis que ce restaurant est ouvert, il y a maintenant 4 ans, j'y retourne plusieurs fois par an en couple ou en petit groupe et à chaque soirée c'est toujours un grand moment de plaisir. Je me considère chanceux d'avoir, en pleine campagne, à deux pas de la maison un restaurant de cette qualité. Merci à Barbara et à Bruno !

J'ai du mal à réconcilier les critiques avec notre expérience d'hier soir. L'accueil que nous avons reçu était à la limite de l'hostilité, la nourriture très médiocre. Je suppose que la cuisine est une question de goût, mais en 6 ans de vie en France, je ne me suis jamais sentie aussi mal accueillie dans un restaurant. Il n'y a pas beaucoup de choix par ici, mais nous aurions préféré aller dans un endroit où la nourriture était plus simple et où nos hôtes auraient pu être un peu plus agréables.
