The castle of Montrésor, property of the Branicki family, offers a beautiful panorama on one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France.

From its rocky pedestal, the castle of Montrésor dominates the village. Its construction began in 1005 by order of Foulques Nerra, Count of Anjou. A Renaissance castle of which only the main wing remains. Since 1849, it has been the property of the Branicki family. Beautifully decorated and furnished interior, with works of art and a magnificent mahogany spiral staircase. It also offers a beautiful view of one of the Most Beautiful Villages in France and a romantic park. A second visit dedicated to "Poland in the castle of Montrésor" is possible on reservation.

Superb castle which retains all of the furniture and fixtures from the last inhabitant. Information guide contains just the right amount of information to make sense of what you’re seeing in each room.
