The castle of Montrésor, property of the Branicki family, offers a beautiful panorama on one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France.

From its rocky pedestal, the castle of Montrésor dominates the village. Its construction began in 1005 by order of Foulques Nerra, Count of Anjou. A Renaissance castle of which only the main wing remains. Since 1849, it has been the property of the Branicki family. Beautifully decorated and furnished interior, with works of art and a magnificent mahogany spiral staircase. It also offers a beautiful view of one of the Most Beautiful Villages in France and a romantic park. A second visit dedicated to "Poland in the castle of Montrésor" is possible on reservation.

Ne mérite pas le détour. Entrée trop chère 9€ . Rien à voir. Quelques pièces surchargées dans un petit château sans intérêt mal entretenu. Des extérieurs pas entretenus. Une ancienne chapelle délabrée avec une vitrine d'animaux empaillés qui doivent dater de l'origine du château. Une fontaine avec un bassin d'eau sale avec une statue centrale très sale. Laisser tomber le château et privilégier le village très joli, fleuri et agréable.

Très beau Château avec beau trésor!
Chateau habité par des polonais: très sympas et bien habillés!
Jolie visite du chateau avec en effet un beau trésor!
jardin agréable et la ville est à visiter,ainsi que les alentours.
Parking gratuit en hauteur de la ville pour les camping-cars.

The castle of Montrésor is located on the heights of Montrésor. The visit is free with a document of visit which could be more for some rooms. You will find beautiful works, including a fine staircase and mahogany furniture that belonged to Medicis. There is a beautiful view of the village and indrois from the windows of the castle. The watchpath with its double ring is also an interesting point.

A castle or it does not have a rope to limit the passage: all we can see, as if we live, far from the habiltuel Loire. The icing on the cake? Chat directly at the descendants direct the former lord these places, their friendliness and their will to discover this charming place seduced us. To discover!
