LE GRAND COTEAU
House of composer Francis Poulenc, offering tours to discover the melodist's creative process and his music.
This is Francis Poulenc's home. The composer bought it in 1927 to get away from the hustle and bustle of Paris. A haven of peace he also built for himself, designing the terraced formal garden that accompanies this 16th-century building. Take a 45-minute guided tour and immerse yourself in the melodist's creative process, with its music salon and pianos. A place rich in music, stories and anecdotes, where his contemporaries, from Colette to Jean Cocteau, passed through. Wine tasting on request.
