RICHELIEU CASTLE
This castle is a gift from King Louis XIII to Cardinal de Richelieu for his services and loyalty.
The castle is a gift from King Louis XIII to Cardinal de Richelieu for his services and loyalty. Built as early as 1631, the building was located on the former family property. But the Revolution and the unscrupulous stone merchants got the better of the monument. Only a few vestiges remain today: a dome, the layout of the canals and cellars. The miracle of technology has enabled the General Council and teams of researchers to reconstruct it virtually. Visitors will be able to discover its former splendour in real time thanks to 3D glasses.
