This Renaissance château owes its fame to one of its illustrious visitors: Honoré de Balzac. People come from all over the world to follow in the footsteps of the great French novelist. And the detour is well worth it: here, you can feel the great writer. Exhibitions, reproductions, manuscripts... Nearly 2,300 items are preserved at the Musée Balzac, and you can explore the rooms he frequented and which directly inspired the writing of some of his works, such as Le Lys dans la vallée. In the heart of the Indre valley, he found the calm and serenity he needed, far from the hustle and bustle of Parisian life. Le Père Goriot, Louis Lambert, César Birotteau and Les Illusions perdues were partly written here. The Château de Saché is a must-see in the Loire Valley, and comes alive with conferences and workshops for young and old alike. Take advantage of the magnificent two-hectare park, which is free to visit. It's the ideal place to stroll, meditate and enjoy the views over the village of Saché. Picnics are also available. In summer, you can also relax in deckchairs in the shade of the hundred-year-old trees, and take a literary siesta, listening to the works of the master of the site. A great cultural and natural visit for the whole family.

Tout petit bémol, nous avons regretté que le son de la vidéo soit si faible. Dommage parce qu'on rentre facilement dans ce docu-fiction.
