SAINT-GERMAIN CHURCH
This church hosts concerts in the summer, some with wine tasting for the festival Musiques et Vignes en Confluence.
Church with a single nave from the 11th century, of which a beautiful decoration of interlacing and palmettes remains on the north wall, enlarged in the 12th and 13th centuries. Its exceptional choir with multiple ribs is known as the "swan song" of the Angevin Gothic style known as Plantagenet. Two polychrome terracotta statues from the Maine workshops frame a gilded wooden high altar. The sacristy is covered with graffiti relating to the Loire River barge industry. The church hosts concerts in the summer, some with wine tasting for the festival Musiques et Vignes en Confluence.
