Restaurant offering traditional cuisine in a contemporary setting in Tours.

Le Marché Gourmand is a superb address for lovers of traditional cuisine, all in a contemporary setting. The unique menu features finely tuned products. The chef is full of innovative ideas. Among others, we find the sliced chicken breast with lemon confit cream, the pike-perch filet and the market burger. The desserts are also delicious. For those who prefer to stay savory, don't miss the cheese trilogy. The wine list displays exclusively products from local and independent wine makers.

Charming small restaurant with simple décor and intimate. The dishes, including the Tartar is beef is divine and the staff an outstanding friendly. The only downside the lack of privacy in the room on the ground floor. One tends to eat a little with its neighbour. A place to be recommended.
Very good value for money, traditional cuisine with some original. Diners with fresh, quality produce, very well cooked. Nice and brisk service, destination!
It seems that you can eat well in Marché Gourmand and us who naps gourmet would have to taste the cuisine in this restaurant. After a film show, my husband and me wanted to finish the evening around a nice meal and a fine wine, which is apparently not possible in Marché Gourmand. When I said to the waitress that I did not want to take a la carte (it is not possible to enjoy what you want in a restaurant?) that a duck carpaccio, a dessert and a glass of wine (about twenty pounds), she answered us that carpaccio was an entrance, then offered me to take a " double carpaccio"? ... " We are a restaurant! " it added, and see our surprise, told us an opposite air that it would pass for this time because the room was not full but it could not accept if the restaurant were full... We then preferred to leave the restaurant where we would be
surely returned another time with a larger appetite, if we had not been also mall welcomed. Finally, especially for foreign tourists used to take only one dish at the restaurant, it would be good that Marché Gourmand precise outside, where the menu standing
that the guest is to take " 1 entrée+ 1 dish + 1 dessert". Obviously, bill provided at €50 is not profitable enough... or enough for a decent welcome!
