This restaurant has been one of Tours' must-visit addresses since 1991. Axel welcomes you with a smile in an authentic setting where tufa stone mingles with exposed beams. Enjoy traditional, home-cooked cuisine with local flavors, such as veal parmentière, Touraine pie with Sainte-Maure-de-Touraine or Touraine beuchelle. A gem that this small restaurant (remember to book), excellent menu (starter, main course and dessert with 24,5€), the dishes are delicious, original, the wine list is based on the wines of the region at more than reasonable prices. The service is discreet, attentive and adorable.
If you should make only one restaurant at the time of a passage to Tours, this is the place where it is necessary to go.
