Since its creation in 1794, the Opéra de Tours has established itself as a national opera house. In its splendid Italian-style auditorium, director Laurent Campellone and Patricia Petibon, godmother of the 2023-2024 season, present women fighting against their destiny and diktats. Other news: a partnership with Milan's prestigious Teatro alla Scala; and the creation of an "Orchestre Populaire de l'Opéra de Tours". What's more, the Opéra has been declared a historic monument - all the more reason to go and see it!

Le Grand Théâtre de Tours est situé au centre ville non loin de la Rue Nationale. On peut assister à de nombreux spectacles tout au long de l'année, dans un joli décor. Les sièges sont confortables et l'ambiance agréable.

Le Grand Théâtre de Tours, ou Opéra de Tours, propose une belle programmation mais il est aussi visitable gratuitement lors des Journées Européennes du Patrimoine. On y retrouve une très belle salle de spectacle inspirée de l'opéra Garnier de Paris.
Bravo for the programme of the Opera leading up in an power year. Not great voices side of course didtribution but generally successful performances and productions that al final book the road.
