Created in 2002, the La Roue Tourangelle-trophée Groupama cycle race turned professional in 2004 and has been part of the French Cycling Cup since 2015. In addition to its entertainment and advertising caravan, the event offers the opportunity to see the country's best amateur and professional cyclists compete. The circuit evolves each season, with an emphasis on historical heritage and fine sprints, either around the Touraine conurbation or in Chinon, Sainte-Maure and Loches, depending on the year.
