Museum located under the gardens of the graceful castle dear to Balzac, with tools, objects, and engravings.

Located under the gardens of the graceful castle dear to Balzac, in cellars dug in the tufa stone perhaps a thousand years ago, the museum of Moncontour evokes the vine and the wine through more than 3 000 parts: many tools, objects, engravings and other documents resulting from several collections. From the vineyard work to the elaboration of sparkling wines and from the cooperage to the wine trade, a very instructive little course which obviously ends with a glass in hand.

Musée super intéressant. Accessible en poussette malgré quelques marches. Notre fille de 4 ans a adoré se balader dans les caves voûtées. Espace coloriage dans l'espace dégustation. 5 euros adulte gratuit enfant

Beaucoup de produits proposés, un bon accueil par le caviste et un joli musée a visiter! Je recommande cet établissement lors de vos visites en val de Loire et surtout pour découvrir ce joli cépage qu'est le chenin et bien d'autres à découvrir...

Visite intéressante pour connaître l'histoire et le métier de viticulteur à Vouvray. Il y a une collection gigantesque de vieux outils agricoles présentés dans un parcours troglodytique bien frais. De quoi s'abriter pour 5€ de la canicule extérieure. Après la visite une dégustation gratuite nous permet de connaître les variétés de blancs Vouvray et aussi d'autres cépages du groupe présentés par un monsieur fort sympathique.
