FAIRGROUND MUSEUM
A unique museum with a collection of 3,500 costumes and numerous sets and stage props.
The only one of its kind in Europe, the Musée du Théâtre Forain covers 4 centuries of the history of travelling theater. Thanks to the acquisition, in 1985, of the Créteur-Cavalier holdings (two related fairground families since the late 19th century) and with the help of Mayor José Cardona, who came up with the idea of this museum, it is unique, with its collection of 3,500 costumes and numerous sets and stage props. From now on, plays, carnivals, puppets, exhibitions and creative workshops are also part of the program. The Musée du Théâtre Forain is alive and well! A bright future ahead.
