ST. STEPHEN'S CHURCH
Church dating from the 11th century, with a gothic choir and transept and a baroque altarpiece in Beaulieu-sur-Loire.
Classified as a historical monument, Christ on the Cross surrounded by the Virgin Mary and Saint John is a painting that enhances the interest of this 11th century church, of which only the Romanesque nave remains, without forgetting a Gothic choir and transept as well as a Baroque altarpiece. Until the 19th century, it was remodeled and its current "look" remains remarkable when you enter the city. Inside, one will not remain indifferent to the woodwork dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, typical of the Berry region, both for the pews and the pulpit.
