THE BONNY ISLANDS
Les Îles de Bonny refers to the land between the Loire and Cheuille rivers.
Covering an area of 30 hectares, these "ephemeral" islands can be reached via a path leading off the mythical N7, which is part of the local hiking trails (GR3 and PR) and La Loire à vélo. The Îles de Bonny lie between the Loire and Cheuille rivers. As the royal river ebbs and flows, we try to tame the wilderness, supervised by the CEN. From the sandy shores to the alluvial forest, this 4.5 km trail offers 270 plant and 23 bird species typical of this Loire environment. It's a great walk, and a great place to stop... for painters.
