MUSEUM OF THE TWO NAVIES AND THE CANAL BRIDGE
Visit to the discovery of a conservatory museum presenting the history of the Loire marines and the Briare canal.
Water and Briare are so inextricably linked that a Loire quay has been reconstructed in this unusual museum. The city of the late barge-makers is represented in six rooms, and four thematic films discuss the city's history. Here we plunge back in time, recognizing or discovering boat hulls, traps, ropes and period stalls. A 17 m long wall of aquariums contains all the fauna of the Loire: impressive! Don't miss the stone and steel Pont-Canal, built in 1896.
