MAISON JEANNE-D'ARC
Half-timbered house with carved half-timbering dating from the century.
Maison Jeanne d' Arc dates from the 15th century. Listed as a historic monument in 1911, it is composed of sculpted half-timbered walls with brick-filled spaces. The floors of the upper floors are molded. On the first floor, a large beam adorned with escutcheons features a rosette resembling a sun. Jeanne d'Arc stayed here in September 1429, before being taken to Compiègne and sold to the English. The emotion is overwhelming as we contemplate this little medieval jewel from the outside. The town's tourist office has since moved in. A rare curiosity.
